Our commitment
Barbarian Facilities Management Limited recognises that our activities, including vehicle use, cleaning products, uniforms and waste, have an environmental impact. We are committed to complying with environmental law and to reducing that impact where we reasonably can.
Our priorities
- Reduce fuel use and emissions by planning patrol routes and travel efficiently, sharing journeys and moving towards lower-emission vehicles over time
- Use effective, lower-impact cleaning products and equipment, and measure and control chemicals correctly
- Reduce, reuse and recycle waste, and dispose of waste responsibly through licensed carriers
- Cut paper use by working digitally wherever possible
- Save energy and water in our offices and encourage the same behaviour on client sites
- Consider environmental performance when choosing suppliers and uniforms
People and clients
We encourage staff to suggest improvements and give clear guidance on environmental good practice. We work with clients who have their own environmental targets to support them on their sites.
Responsibilities and review
Directors are responsible for this policy. We set practical objectives, review progress and update this policy at least once a year.
