Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Our zero-tolerance approach to slavery, forced labour and trafficking.

Our position

Barbarian Facilities Management Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced or compulsory labour, servitude and human trafficking, in our own business and in our supply chains. We support the aims of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

What we do

  • Pay every worker at least the legally required wage and never withhold wages, identity documents or personal belongings
  • Carry out right-to-work and identity checks on every person we employ
  • Recruit directly or through reputable, checked agencies and never charge workers recruitment fees
  • Expect suppliers and subcontractors to meet the same standards and to be open about how they treat their workers
  • Train managers and officers to recognise the warning signs of exploitation

Raising concerns

Anyone who suspects modern slavery should tell a manager or email info@barbarianfm.co.uk. Concerns can also be reported to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700 or, in an emergency, to the police on 999. We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Responsibilities and review

Directors are responsible for this policy and for taking action where a risk is found. We review it annually.

Last reviewed: October 2026. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@barbarianfm.co.uk.
